Welcome to Datta Lab at Yenepoya Research Center. Our laboratory is located in the 3rd floor of Yenepoya Medical College Building (see below for full address and a map) of Yenepoya University. Yenepoya University is well connected by road, rail and air. The main campus is located at Deralakatte, which is 12 km away from the Mangalore city. By Air
The nearest airport, Mangalore International Airport (IATA: IXE, ICAO: VOML) is 22.7 km from the University and about 40 minutes-drive by road. There are daily direct or connecting flights to all major cities of India (e.g. Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai and Bengaluru) and various international destinations (e.g. Middle East).
By Train
The closest railway stations are Mangalore central (10.3 km), Mangalore junction (10.4 km) and Thokottu railway station (4.5 km). These railway stations lie on the Konkan route connecting the north and the south along the west coast; Delhi and Mumbai (to the north) and Ernakulam (to the south). Mangalore station is connected to Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Calicut, Cochin, Trivandrum, Mumbai and other major cities. Those travelling from Kolkata will have to travel via Chennai/Mumbai/Bangalore/Goa and then take a connecting train to Mangalore. There is also a train operating from Jammu to Mangalore once a week.
By Road
Yenepoya University is well connected with major cities in Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, and Goa. Local transport services are available from the city to the University. Direct buses are also available from Bangalore.
